CIC — Compact Instruction Compiler
The first prompt compiler: compact, lint, fuzz, and scan instruction files for malware before they reach your agents.
CIC turns verbose Markdown instruction files into compact, verifiable programs. It parses .md into a line-oriented PIR intermediate, compiles back to compact .md, and runs security, lint, and semantic regression checks before install. The pipeline detects prompt injection, stealth directives, exfiltration, leaked secrets, XSS, malware, untrusted external instructions, and over-privileged commands mapped to the OWASP Agentic Skills Top 10. It validates frontmatter, heading structure, naming conventions, and CommonMark syntax across skills, workflows, abilities, rules, memories, plans, and AGENTS.md. A native `cic` executable and Linux system command are scheduled for release by end of week.

Market comparison
Prompt security and compression are usually split across separate tools. Open-source linters and scanners are free but require custom integration. Cloud prompt-security APIs such as Prompt Armor or Lakera charge $0.001-$0.01 per request, which scales quickly for agent teams. A dedicated compiler with a predictable per-seat license typically runs $20-$50/month for small teams and $100+/seat/month for enterprise with audit logs and SSO.
